Compass for Crowded Dashes & Consoles

Between panels, gauges and switches, console and dash space is often overloaded with gear. That’s what makes the B-51 Explorer magnetic compass from Ritchie Navigation the ideal addition to any sail or powerboat. With a bracket mount, it installs anywhere onboard — even near heavy metal objects. And unlike a GPS, it provides the vessel’s heading when stopped or moving slowly.

Made in the USA, the Explorer compass features a direct read 70mm dial with 5° incremental, 30° numbered and 45° lettered heading marks. A yellow lubber line makes staying on course simple, even when seated to one side.

The Explorer’s dial sits on a scientifically matched sapphire jewel in a hardened steel gimbal. Internal DirectiveForce magnets provide an accurate heading reading without the spinning and jumping common in other compasses. Built-in compensators are easy to adjust for deviation.

The Ritchie Explorer is available in three color combinations: with a black composite housing and a black dial, grey with a blue dial or white with a white dial. All feature a movable sun shield, integrated 12/24V green LED lighting, and a bracket that allows the compass to be removed. Measuring 135mm x 113mm x 120mm, the Ritchie Navigation B-51 Explorer Bracket Mount magnetic compass is 100% repairable and comes with a five-year warranty.
