Seatronix launches the ultimate fishing camera system – SURFVISION HD+
Seatronx, manufacturer and distributor of the finest rugged electronics catering specifically to the military, maritime and industrial markets, announced today the new SURFVISION HD+. Ideal for the weekend enthusiast or professional anglers alike, SURFVISION HD+ is powered by Seatronx with Hilton’s Sat2Nav and is the ultimate fishing camera, mapping centre and vessel security system combined into a single, compact DC powered unit.
The SURFVISION HD+ is a marine-grade video system that allows up to four cameras to continuously record all catches and cruising activity. It will record in high definition and mark all catches and events seamlessly.
The free SURFVISION app with easy command features allows users to instantly grab video and pictures from Android or Apple devices to forward to friends and colleagues.
It includes a GPS overlay option on pictures to mark catches and releases where location evidence is desired, and is approved for all tournament recordings.
Users can select the Sat2Nav Icon from SURFVISION HD+ to access the most current fishing mapping charts for waypoint management, weather, chlorophyll tracking and much more. The Sat2Nav program provides anglers with the most up-to-date information available and is customizable to a specific cruising or fishing agenda. The Hilton’s Sat2Nav gives anglers an unbeatable edge for targeting species fishing and one free month of the service is included with the purchase of SURFVISION HD+. Continued subscriptions are available on a monthly or yearly basis.
For vessel security, SURFVISION HD+ is equipped with geofencing capabilities and will record and notify users if the vessel has moved outside of a predetermined range. Owners can monitor remotely with a click of a button from a smartphone, offering complete peace of mind that the vessel and belongings are safe and secure. The control unit can be used in either 12 or 24 VDC environments and includes 2 TB of expandable storage for video recordings. It can be controlled via the display touchscreen or an optional mouse, trackball or joystick.
“Our industry-leading systems have been adopted throughout the marine industry, whether for military, law enforcement or commercial applications,” said Keith Cariani, executive principal, Seatronx. “Our rugged systems and years of experience are well suited for the fishing segment. The new SURFVISION HD+ is the ideal addition to any offshore fishing vessel. Not only does it offer peace of mind with its geofencing capabilities and security features, but it is perfect for charter captains looking to provide video clips of all the action to their clients as the perfect complement to a once-in-a-lifetime fishing adventure.”
“Hilton’s has been here for the last 18 years to help fishermen understand the dynamics of why fish are there one day and not the next,” said Thomas Hilton, president, Sat2Nav, LLC. “We continue to lead the field in developing new, innovative tools to help anglers be more successful on the water. In this business you have to continually raise the bar, which is a big reason why I want to bring Hilton’s into the helm with Seatronx. Being able to view the internet, save the latest charts, navigate on those charts outside of cell range and view your fishing videos, all on the same Seatronx screen, sets Hilton’s apart from any other service in the industry.”
