Following the extensive Global Workforce Study recently completed by Sounding Trades Only, ICOMIA is further investigating the gender framework of the global recreational marine industry workforce in order to better understand the industry’s current workforce to enable better planning for the future and develop ways to attract and retain future talent.
The gender mapping survey has been developed by the ICOMIA Diversity Committee and is open to anyone in the recreational boating industry, but in order to gather the best data possible it does require access to basic organisational details such as company owners, managers etc.
Why is gender mapping so critical?
The Soundings Trade Only 2024 Marine Industry Global Workplace Study gave some comprehensive information about the gender makeup of the recreational marine industry. In order to expand on this data, ICOMIA is looking to it’s member associations, and their members for additional data so that the sustainability of the future workforce can be assured and knowledge available on the when, where and how to attract and retain future talent.
This short survey, which can be completed anonymously in around three minutes, will be used to conduct a comprehensive industry assessment to understand the current gender representation in the recreational boating industry workforce.
