The Riviera 4600 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition was announced at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival in France as a finalist in the Best of Boats Award 2024, the world’s largest annual international motorboat award.
Riviera Australia is the only non-European builder and one of only five yachts to be named as a finalist in the ‘Best of Big Boats’ category for the prestigious awards. The other countries represented in this category are Spain, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Greece.
The 2024 awards will be announced and presented at a special ceremony that will take place on Thursday, November 28, during the Boat & Fun Boat Show in Berlin which runs from November 28 to December 1.
The Best of Boats Award is the largest award for motorboats in the numbers of countries represented together with the number of magazines and judging panel members involved. As the only worldwide motorboat award, the Best of Boats Award covers all European and international water-sports regions.
The Best of Boats Award was launched in 2014 by boating journalists from many countries and different editorial offices with two things in common: very extensive experience as boat testers and particular interest in the practical needs of boaters.
Riviera Australia owner Rodney Longhurst said the acknowledgment as a finalist placed Riviera motor yachts among the leading yacht builders in the world, and was recognition of the company’s constant commitment to world-class quality and craftsmanship.

Featuring the luxurious refinement of the Riviera Platinum Edition which includes the 5400, 6000 and new 6800 models, the 4600 Sport Yacht is an outstanding example of style and innovation.
From the generous hydraulic swim platform, a garage designed to store a range of water sports equipment can be accessed through an electric door.
A superb entertainer’s aft deck has been created with a wrap-around lounge across the transom and port side with a timber dining table. A well-appointed barbecue and wet bar unit is located to starboard.
The generous saloon flows to the aft deck through a convenient sliding glass door and awning window making one large entertaining or relaxation space. A fully equipped U-shape galley is located on the port side of the saloon space, immediately aft of the helm. A servery and bar unit are opposite. The plush dining space is forward on the starboard side, featuring a large, handcrafted table surrounded by a luxurious U-shape lounge that will seat up to six people.
The 4600 Sport Yacht provides three impressive staterooms and two bathrooms on the light-filled accommodation deck including a full-beam master amidships featuring full head height, a central king size bed and large hull windows that bathe the space in natural light.
Propulsion for the 4600 Sport Yacht is provided by twin Volvo Penta D8-IPS800s delivering 441kW (600hp) each.
