BOAT International Media becomes part of Informa Group

BOAT International Media (BIM) has announced that it has become part of Informa Group’s portfolio of specialist media brands.

The agreement comes at an exciting time for BOAT International Media, which has seen significant growth in recent years across its print, events, digital and data businesses.

BOAT International Media and its subsidiaries, including IBI and Dockwalk, will retain their brands and full editorial independence, while leveraging Informa’s specialist media expertise to accelerate BIM’s growth strategy.

Stewart Campbell will remain Editor-in-Chief and BOAT International Media will have the same management team, including Toby Moore as Chief Executive and Tony Euden as Chief Operating Officer. John Paton will also continue as Chair of the Board.

“We are excited to start working with Informa. We share a vision and enormous optimism about BOAT International Media’s future, which will benefit from Informa’s experience and investment in specialist media brands and platforms.” said Toby Moore, CEO of BOAT International Media.

As well as BOAT International and BOAT International US Edition, BIM publishes Dockwalk and IBI, and operates boatinternational.com, ibinews.com and dockwalk.com.

The company also owns the award-winning data provider BOAT Pro, and organises globally renowned events ranging from the World Superyacht Awards to the Superyacht Design Festival.

It produces luxury books such as The Superyachts and Superyacht Interiors and through its specialist contracting arm, B Creative, works with clients on all manner of print, event and digital executions.

The company also operates a number of successful communities, such as the Owners’ Club and Captains’ Club.

Moore continued: “Informa has been an admirer of BOAT International’s products and events for some years and is a big supporter of the company’s growth strategy. BOAT will stay BOAT and, with the full support of the Informa Group expertise and resources behind it, the future is very bright indeed.”
