Marine business publication Boating Industry Magazine has recognised the new Dometic NRX-S line of refrigerators with a 2024 Top Products Award. The Dometic NRX-S line refrigerator was recognised by the jury for its outstanding energy performance and variability in cooling modes, one with almost no noise in operation.
This prestigious annual award recognises the top new products from across the entire boating industry, ranging from boats and motors to electronics, onboard systems, and accessories. Entries are evaluated by the magazine’s editorial staff, weighing nominated products based on their level of innovation, technological advancements and the benefits and they provide to boat builders and the boating public around the world.
Dometic engineered this new refrigerator line for maximum energy efficiency, using up to 25% less electricity than comparable models on the market. Dometic achieved this with a compact new compressor design and electric module that consume just 0.22kW per 24 hours. Compressor speed can also adapt to ambient temperatures, providing efficient cooling in all environmental conditions. Three selectable cooling modes — Eco, Boost, and Quiet — give boaters the ability to tailor cooling parameters to meet their changing needs whether in port or on the open seas.
With six available sizes ranging from 35 to 130 litres, there is an energy efficient NRX-S refrigerator for all types of vessels ranging from 18 up to 100 feet in length. The quality and finish of these new refrigerators makes them an ideal addition to any galley, either for new builds or as an upgrade to existing boats.
