Throughout 2023 Australian Sailing is spotlighting specific themes that are integral to the fabric of the sailing community across our nation.
Every second month Australian Sailing will focus on a specific theme that aligns with the Strategic Foundations from their 10-year Strategic Plan ‘SAILING 2032’, with the months of February and May already having featured Diversity and Inclusion and Volunteers respectively.
This July, Australian Sailing is proud to shine the spotlight on participation at every level and is excited to highlight the tireless work of clubs, class associations and Discover Sailing Centres nation-wide. Throughout the month, Australian Sailing will share resources developed to grow and maintain participation across a range of programs and will also launch some new programs of their own.
Participation at grassroots is essential to the continuation and development of a strong and connected sailing community. Clubs play a leading role in engaging with their local communities and establishing sailing as a sport or activity for people of all ages and abilities.
This month will see numerous participation programs featured on the Australian Sailing website and social media accounts (including Facebook and Instagram), with relevant and useful resources also shared to ensure clubs, class associations and Discover Sailing Centres are supported in delivering their programs. Several key participation projects will also be launched by Australian Sailing across the month, with clubs and class associations privy to organisational resources specifically designed for them.
Join Australian Sailing on Facebook this month as they celebrate and highlight participation at every level.
