Visitors to this year’s SCIBS will be impressed with the line-up of award-winning Aquila Power Catamarans on display.
The Whitehaven Group, which represents Aquila in Australia and New Zealand, is proud to exhibit its largest ever line-up of Aquila power cats, including the first Australia/NZ boat show foray for the Aquila 54, which launched at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
Aquila is the world’s largest power catamaran brand, with more than 40 years’ manufacturing experience working in collaboration with award-winning designers.
Aquila International Sales Manager, Yvan Eymieu will attend this year’s SCIBS, testament to the importance of Australia as mature multihull market and the significance of the regional launch of the new Aquila 54.
“We’re excited to present our Aquila Catamarans at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show once more,” said Yvan.
“Australia has consistently been a key market for the development of our brand. Our exclusive representative, the Whitehaven Group always exhibits great professionalism and dedication to customers.”
The acclaimed Aquila 54, winner of the 2021 Multihull of the Year Award in the power category, boasts the versatility to appeal to a global audience of boating enthusiasts.
Since its launch, more than 75 units have been sold and its tri-deck design, interior space and performance have been unanimously praised by industry and owners.
The A54 is capable of extended offshore cruising and entertaining family and friends. The enclosed flybridge skylounge option is one of its many unique features, offering guests a protected, comfortable living and social space whatever the conditions or climate.
It also offers layouts that include 3, 4, and 5-cabin options as well as skipper’s quarters and “galley-down” layouts.
Also on show, the fastest selling power cat in the world, the Aquila 44, which is popular for its generous accommodation, including the full-beam forward master stateroom and one level living and entertaining.
Designed to be both a long-distance cruising power cat and a highly social platform, the Aquila 44 was designed to optimise performance.
The stairway from the flybridge to the foredeck gives safe, easy access to the foredeck and aids owners when anchoring or docking. Wide side decks and safety handrails are another example of the Aquila’s commitment to owners’ and guests’ comfort and safety.
Available with a 3-cabin or 4-cabin layout with optional captain’s quarters, and featuring a saloon and galley with 360-degree views, plus a spacious flybridge, the A44 makes entertaining easy.
The galley is strategically placed between the aft deck and the saloon and dinette on the main deck, making it easy to serve guests inside and out. Guests on the flybridge can enjoy panoramic views along with the skipper while underway.
Then there’s the Aquila 36 Sport which is an outboard-propelled power cat that is a brilliant day boat for a multitude of guests and all their watertoys or a complete cruising package for two couples.
Available with a sport windscreen, full windscreen to the hardtop or fully enclosed helm deck with air-conditioning (cruiser package option), the Aquila 36 Sport is in a class of its own.
Details of the exciting new Aquila 42 will also be available at SCIBS 2023. The Aquila 42 debuted in February 2023 at the Miami International Boat Show and features vast entertaining space and luxurious accommodation.
The first Aquila 42 headed down under will be delivered to her owner in Auckland, New Zealand in October.
The ideal entry-level family cruising power cat, the A42 will make coastal cruising accessible to a whole new demographic.
The expansive aft deck with table and settee, plus additional seating, flows seamlessly into the saloon and galley with even more social space.
The window between the galley and cockpit creates a practical bar for easy serving. There’s plenty of storage in the well-equipped galley, and the saloon features large wraparound windows for panoramic views from every angle.
The galley also boasts large countertop space, dining table which converts into a bed for extra company. The TV folds down from the ceiling as required. An optional interior helm station may be located on the portside.
The standard layout, which differs from the Aquila 44, comprises a main deck utility cabin forward with single bed, storage, and room for options such as extra refrigeration, wine fridge and washer/dryer. While below decks, there’s an owner’s cabin and ensuite in the portside hull, plus double cabin with ensuite to starboard.
Owners can also specify a three-cabin layout with three ensuites, or four-cabin layout with three ensuites.
The owner’s cabin has extra-large portside windows, full wardrobe, mirror and vanity, plenty of storage, desk, and a light, bright ensuite including a shower with built-in rain shower. Climate control is just a touch away, with air-conditioning/heating control beside the bed.
The guest accommodation is just as spacious with similar detail, including skylights and large hull windows. State-of-the-art C-Zone technology is standard, offering owners ease of use in every space. The ensuite is also the day-head.
The flybridge and foredeck are additional leisure spaces. Guests have two access points to the flybridge: a staircase from the aft cockpit and bridge to bow stairs from the foredeck.
Entertaining is a breeze on the Aquila 42 flybridge, with undercover grill, seating and a table that can be extended, depending on requirements. The main helm is adjacent – ergonomic with fantastic views and enough room to seat a couple plus a third seat for a guest or child to watch on.
Easy to handle, sleek and modern, the Aquila 42 has a steady footprint, thanks to the expert hull design from VPLP, France.
The spacious foredeck features sunpads with fold-out backrests for enjoying the sunshine and views, bow seating, plus extra locker space for gear and equipment.
