Raymarine announces five-year extension of its relationship with Linssen Yachts
Raymarine has announced a five-year extension to its preferred supplier arrangement with Dutch motor yacht builder, Linssen Yachts. The extension builds on success of decade-long relationship.
The relationship, which has been in place since 2011, gives Linssen owners access to the full range of Raymarine electronics, including chartplotters, autopilots and digital control systems. Installation is carried out by Raymarine-trained electronics specialists at the yard with direct manufacturer support, offering owners total peace of mind when it comes to onboard electronic systems.
Grégoire Outters, General Manager at Raymarine, said: “We’re delighted to announce the extension of our decade-long preferred supplier relationship with Linssen Yachts. Over that time, we have worked exceptionally close with the yard to deliver what the owner of a Linssen expects and deserves, world-class electronics with world-class support.”
Through its local fully-owned subsidiary, Raymarine Benelux, the company provides technical and installation training to the yard as well as support, with refresher courses as new products are launched.
Founded by Jac Linssen in 1949, Linssen Yachts is one of Holland’s best known and longest-established builders of high-quality steel displacement motor yachts.
Ed Houben, Managing Director at Linssen, said: “As you can imagine, we choose our suppliers very carefully and continuity is important to us. We have spent many years building up a network of specialists whose ethos matches our own, and whose offers add to the enjoyment and peace of mind of owning a Linssen yacht. Over the past 11 years, Raymarine has proven its ability to supply and support the very best in onboard systems and related equipment. We are very pleased to extend the existing relationship for a further five years and look forward to building on our success to date.
The announcement follows Raymarine’s recent launch of the YachtSense family of products, which allows seamless on-boat and off-boat integration of sensors and displays, including remote monitoring and control of the system via the Raymarine App.
Fittingly, given the Dutch connection, this announcement comes only a month after the 2022 METSTRADE event in Amsterdam, where the YachtSense Link Marine Router won the prestigious DAME Award in the category of ‘Marine electronics and marine related software’.
