Yamaha Announces Factory-Fitted Boat and Motor Program

Yamaha Motor Australia has announced the release of Yamaha PowerMatched, a turnkey, factory-fitted solution that pairs Yamaha outboards and genuine Yamaha rigging components with specific boat models to deliver optimised compatibility, on-water performance, and customer satisfaction.

Each PowerMatched boat package arrives showroom-ready, installed to a Yamaha factory standard by a Yamaha-certified installer, giving the buyer complete peace of mind, knowing the boat is set up to the highest standard and optimised for its intended purpose.

Jason Harris, General Manager of Yamaha Marine, said, “We are excited to roll out Yamaha PowerMatched. For the first time ever, Yamaha has developed a program that formally accredits our boat builder partners to provide a complete boat, motor, and rigging solution that meets Yamaha’s strict quality assurance standards, while delivering an exceptional all-in-one boating package straight from the factory floor to the dealer showroom.”

“By working hand-in-hand with our boat builder partners, we have been able to create a completely seamless boat and outboard application solution that removes the complexity from the boat-buying process and delivers a high-quality integrated product that ensures the consumer hits the water with confidence,” Jason said.

Extensive on-the-job training and assessment is delivered by Yamaha on the factory floor, ensuring each Yamaha Certified Technician has achieved the required Yamaha PowerMatched installation competency levels.

For a boat model to obtain Yamaha PowerMatched status, it must meet set installation standards approved and signed-off by a Yamaha Application Engineer. Once approved, detailed installation and rigging component documentation and quality control procedures are provided to the boat builder, allowing production of the approved Yamaha PowerMatched model to begin.

Yamaha Announces First Yamaha PowerMatched Boat Builder Partner

Yamaha has announced that Cruise Craft Boats is the first accredited Yamaha PowerMatched boat builder partner.

Jason stated, “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Cruise Craft on board as our first official Yamaha PowerMatched partner. Yamaha and Cruise Craft have a very long and successful working partnership that spans decades, with a strong shared commitment to quality, reliability, and performance. I would like to thank Nathan and the team for working closely with us to support the rollout of this new and industry-leading program.”

Established in 1946, Cruise Craft is synonymous with being one of Australia’s most successful and premium fiberglass fishing vessel brands. With 14 ‘Boat of the Year’ titles, as well as numerous other accolades to its credit, Cruise Craft continues to lead the industry in design excellence, innovation, and quality.

Nathan Nichols, Cruise Craft Director, said, “Cruise Craft is proud to come on board as Yamaha’s first official PowerMatched partner.”

“This program acknowledges the close working relationship that Cruise Craft and Yamaha have developed over an extensive period of time as we have grown together and evolved our product offering to meet the changing and increasing technological demands of the marine industry.”

“All new Cruise Craft and Yamaha combinations are tested to determine the optimum propeller, engine height, and rigging setup for each boat in the Cruise Craft range. This is something that Cruise Craft has been completing on all its BMT combinations for some time now and to have the official Yamaha PowerMatched accreditation means Cruise Craft customers can be even more confident that their Cruise Craft boat will be set up perfectly, first time, every time,” Nathan said.
