Superyacht Australia Soirée 2025: Quality Engagements drive charter interest

The 2025 Superyacht Australia Soirée delivered an unforgettable day, welcoming 266 participants to experience the elegance of luxury yacht chartering while fostering meaningful interactions with genuine prospective clients.

Presented in partnership with Benetti Yachts, the sixth annual event was hosted on Saturday 8 March at the newly upgraded Jones Bay Superyacht Marina, which has already experienced its first summer season following its reconfiguration.  The revitalised marina provided an ideal setting for showcasing luxury yachts and creating an unforgettable experience for attendees.

“It was a pleasure to once again sponsor the Superyacht Soirée and witness the impressive enhancements at the newly improved Jones Bay Wharf Marina, which now offers increased capacity for superyachts in Sydney Harbour. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how Australia’s superyacht industry has evolved, and events like this highlight the significant progress we’ve made in developing world-class services and infrastructure. Our more mature domestic market is now well-equipped to accommodate yachts exceeding 24 metres, offering owners and charter guests an unparalleled experience in one of the world’s most stunning yachting destinations.” - Matt Walford, Area Manager – Australia and New Zealand, Benetti Yachts

The day unfolded under clear skies despite some weather uncertainties leading up to the event with Cyclone Alfred. While interstate attendance was impacted by the weather event, those who joined ensured the day was dynamic and full of opportunity.

The renowned Soirée Yacht Hop attracted a steady flow of engaged guests, offering a rare opportunity to journey into each yacht in the stunning lineup. The first vessel to be explored on the docks was the stylish and versatile Chapman Yachting’s M/Y Little Perle.  In addition, M/Y Lady Pamela, with its rich European-inspired interior design which set it apart from the opulent M/Y Aurora shown from Aurora Luxury Charters and the sleek M/Y Lumir plus Chase Boat on show with The Ahoy Club, each offering a glimpse into the world of high-end yachting.

Guests explored the newly introduced M/Y Orraia, and were captivated by its modern elegance, which seamlessly blends sleek and contemporary design with Australian-inspired elements.  The Owners of M/Y Orraia commented – “It was a remarkable day for the Orraia team. Two years ago we attended the Soirée as guests where we learnt firsthand experience of how to launch a vessel to the market.  To now be showcasing at the Soirée for the first time filled us with joy, and the constant positive feedback and compliments about the vessel made the experience even more special. Special thanks to Superyacht Australia for hosting the event – Your Australian Odyssey Awaits!

Adventurous spirits were drawn to the high-performance M/Y Quantum, while sailing enthusiasts marvelled at the proportions of S/Y Feng and the historic charm of the legendary S/Y Sir Thomas Sopwith. Adding to the impressive display, guests also explored the stately Sanlorenzo M/Y Lance and SX76,  along with the cutting-edge Bluegame BX673 celebrated for its innovative design and versatility on the water.

From the moment guests stepped aboard, they were able to immerse themselves in the unique qualities of each vessel, with captains and crew taking the time to provide in-depth tours of the vessels, insights and personalised experiences. This tailored approach fostered genuine engagement, converting curiosity into the potential for future charters.

The Broker Partner d’Albora team were on hand all smiles to discuss their extensive marinas around Australia. Alongside was Destination Partner Port Denarau Marina who took the opportunity to visit every vessel to discuss cruising the South Pacific whilst offering a Fiji inspired gift bag to each Captain.

After exploring the yachts on display, guests were welcomed into the sophisticated social hub, the Benetti Lounge.  Entertained by a saxophonist, guests mingled over the renowned Benetti Espresso Martinis while viewing a scale model of the Benetti B.Now 72m on display.

The Benetti Lounge also provided a space to explore a diverse range of offerings from our Showcase Partners, including botanical artwork from Australian artist Anna Lohe, exquisite bespoke jewellery from ILEKTRI, and travel services from Business First Travel. Additionally, guests discovered asset management services from COLLECTAEON and building project insights from residential and commercial builder Horizon. All complemented by award-winning tastings from Tasmanian whiskey producer Sullivans Cove and premium wines from loyal returning Wine Partner Tyrrell’s Wines.

The Showcase Partners shared that they benefited from many valuable discussions with highly interested prospective clients and expressed strong enthusiasm for returning to next year’s event.
