Over 120 fishing enthusiasts gathered in East Auckland on Sunday, March 16th with over 90 Sea-doo PWCs, for the largest assembly of Sea-Doo FishPros in New Zealand. Hosted by fishing legend Andrew Hill, the event marked the launch of Sea-Doo’s Social Club in New Zealand.
Participants enjoyed a group ride that finished in a carpark meet-up, where Sea-Doo owners admired each other’s units and fishing equipment while mingling in a relaxed environment. This provided an opportunity for participants to chat about their biggest ride yet and share tips and stories, fostering a sense of community.
The event highlighted the growing popularity of personal watercraft (PWC) fishing, which offers advantages such as cost efficiency, maneuverability, and access to shallow or hard-to-reach fishing spots. Modern PWCs, like the Sea-Doo FishPro, come equipped with features tailored for fishing, including rod holders, GPS fish finders, and coolers for bait and catch storage.
Sea-Doo is a pioneer in PWC fishing and their extensive range caters from the avid fishing enthusiast to the occasional angler. Originally designed in conjunction with homegrown talent, Andrew Hill, these units are truly purpose-built for fishing. The Sea-Doo FishPro range consists of the Sea-Doo FishPro Trophy, Sport and Scout, and the limited edition Sea-Doo FishPro APEX.
