Ports Victoria announce new Harbour Master

Ports Victoria has announced Kylie McDonald as the new Harbour Master, Geelong and Regional, overseeing the Ports of Geelong and Hastings.

After an international search, Kylie stood out as the ideal candidate. Previously serving as Deputy Harbour Master, Port of Geelong, Kylie’s exceptional experience and leadership made her a natural choice for this key role.

Craig Walker, Ports Victoria CEO, shared:

“Kylie’s impressive career, combined with her time at Ports Victoria, demonstrates the experience and attitude we were looking for. She’s built an outstanding reputation within the maritime industry and brings invaluable expertise to our regional ports.”

Kylie’s career highlights include:

  • Marine Technical Advisor at Viva Energy Australia
  • Regional Harbour Master & Director of Maritime Safety for the NT
  • Naval Harbour Master & Maritime Operations Planner Northern Command
  • Extensive sea-based leadership as a Navigator/Ships Pilot
