Australian Sailing has published the Terms of Reference for the Sydney Harbour Friday Twilight Inquiry.
The Inquiry will focus on all aspects of the Sydney Harbour Twilight Series including race management and administration, emergency procedures, safety issues surrounding the collision and, importantly, the experiences of the crew members. Ultimately, the Inquiry seeks to identify the lessons to be learned from the incident, and to minimise the risks of such an event ever occurring again.
Nicola Wakefield Evans AM has accepted the invitation to chair the Sydney Harbour Friday Twilight Series Inquiry Committee. Other members of the committee will include representatives from RANSA and SASC and independent members appointed by Australian Sailing.
On behalf of Nicola Wakefield Evans, competitors, race officials and other members of the sailing community who wish to provide a written submission for the consideration of the Inquiry committee are invited to do so by close of business 14 February 2025.
