From 8–10 October, Perth hosted local, national and international industry leaders and key government representatives as they gather to strengthen efforts in supporting the travel sector and working towards a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future.

This year’s Summit theme, Ancient Land, New Perspectives, reflects Western Australia’s commitment to growing its visitor economy sustainably, with First Nations people at the heart of its initiatives.

Paige Myles, Sales and Marketing Manager, shared her enthusiasm for SeaLink’s involvement in the Summit: “Representing our brilliant SeaLink Marine & Tourism portfolio to some of the most influential leaders in global travel and tourism is an honour. The opportunity to showcase Western Australia—and Australia more broadly—on the world stage is precisely why we love what we do. WA is home to unique destinations, landscapes, wildlife, and experiences that set us apart, and our deep connection to what makes us Western Australian is something we’re incredibly proud of.”

The Summit features international and local speakers, including Greg O’Hara, Chair of the WTTC, who opened the event alongside the Honourable Roger Cook MLA, Premier of Western Australia. An opening speech was delivered by Julia Simpson, President and CEO of the WTTC. Notable speakers include Jane Sun, CEO of Trip.com Group, and Puneet Chatwal, offering insights into emerging markets, as well as Matt Goldberg, President & CEO of Tripadvisor Group, spoke on ‘Understanding our customers’. Thursday’s session serves as the official launch of the WTTC’s Together in Travel initiative, which aims to support small and medium enterprises in travel and tourism.

WTTC delegates will also have the chance to experience SeaLink Marine & Tourism’s renowned offerings and fellow tour operators’ products during their time in Perth, including a Gala Dinner at Optus Stadium.
