X-Yachts Reveals XR 41: A Groundbreaking Comeback to Racing
X-Yachts is making a significant return to the racing world with our latest model, the XR 41! This cutting-edge ORC-optimised yacht is set to make waves when it hits the racing scene next year, and its performance in 2025 is anticipated.
Back to Racing Roots
“It feels great to be back on the racing scene,” says the Australian Managing Director, Kevin Wallis. “X-Yachts is famous for building handcrafted performance cruisers, but originally our brand was built on race wins at the highest level.”
Innovative Design and Continuous Upgrades
Departing from the traditional one-design class, X-Yachts have developed a model that evolves continuously. The XR 41 will receive annual upgrades, ensuring it stays ahead in a variety of race formats while maintaining its value over time.
Dual Purpose: Racing and Sporty Cruising
The XR 41 is built to last, embodying the perfect blend of high-speed racing and sporty cruising. Its modular interior allows for easy transitions between racing and cruising configurations, and it comes in two versions: Race and Sport.
Expert Collaboration
To bring the XR 41 to life, X-Yachts have collaborated with top external specialists alongside our in-house team. Contributions from Casper Nielsen of C-Performance, Max Gurgel of Vmax Yachting, and Javier Jaudenes of Surge Projects were crucial. Professional racers like Bouwe Bekking and Jesper Radich provided invaluable insights, and North Sails International enhanced the rig and sail design.
Technological Innovation
The XR 41 features advanced technology, including neural networks and AI for hull optimisation, positioning it as a game-changer in the ORC category B fleet.
