New look Fishing World

Former sister publication Fishing World as had a make over with a new look celebrating its 55 year history.  Now owned and published by former Marine Business News editor Scott Thomas, the fishing publication continues to be a leader in its field bringing the best of the sport and lifestyle to its readers.

Since its inception in 1969, Fishing World, formerly The Australian Angler and The Australian Angler’s Fishing World, has had its fair share of mastheads. Some of the alterations were minor, while others carried the magazine through changes in name, editors, fishing styles and ownership.

The previous masthead had been a fixture on Fishing World magazines, digital and social platforms for almost 30 years!

It’s a highly recognisable brand and the decision to alter the brand didn’t come lightly.

But times have changed and the media landscape in 2024 compared to 1994 is hardly recognisable.

Thankfully, while ownership of this iconic media brand changed last year, Fishing World lives on and this year celebrates its 55th anniversary.

Their annual Summer print edition is in the works and investment into our digital platforms, video, podcast and social presence has increased. And there’s more to come… in other words, they have  adapted and will continue to adapt to ensure Fishing World thrives for another 55 years!

The latest hand sketched masthead/logo pays homage to Fishing World’s legacy in a fresh new style.

The crew from Fishing World say that it wouldn’t exist without the readers and over the next few months they are planning on launching several ideas to build a closer connection with their loyal followers. Stay tuned!

We are sure you like the new Fishing World!
