Sydney-based Performance Cruising Yachts will have two yachts on display at the Sydney International Boat Show (SIBS) from 1 to 4 August, including one debutante.
In exciting news, the company is set to debut the multi-award-nominee Elan Impression 43 at the show, together with the stunning and award-winning Elan E6.
Elan Impression 43
Expertly designed by Humphreys Naval Architecture and styled by Pininfarina, the new Elan Impression 43 offers exceptional comfort and a thrilling sailing experience, perfect for blue water cruising.
Key features include a semi-deck-saloon for abundant natural light and spacious interiors. The modern hull geometry and balanced sail plan provide unparalleled stability and safety. The wide beam hull maximises volume, with twin rudders and an optimised sail plan for easy short-handed sailing. A self-tacking jib is standard, with an optional overlapping genoa available.
The cockpit, designed for both sailing pleasure and anchorage enjoyment, seats up to 10 people. An optional modular cockpit table converts into sunbeds for lounging. The uncluttered decks ensure easy movement, and the helm seating can house an optional BBQ and fridge.
This model includes iconic transom seats and stylish steering pods with space for nine-inch electronics. The interior, available in three- or four-cabin versions, is modern and sophisticated. The three-cabin version features an island bed and ensuite head, while the four-cabin option adds bunk beds for families or groups.
The saloon seats the whole family around a central table, which can convert into a double berth. The side-galley has a three-ring stove, oven, and front-opening refrigerator. Grab rails ensure safe movement, and the floor is on one level with no hidden steps.
Since the official launch the new Impression 43 has received global recognition and nominated for both European Yacht of the Year and Cruising Yacht of the Year Awards.
Elan E6
The Elan E6 is the flagship of Elan’s performance-orientated E-Line and was designed by a “dream team” of specialists: Humphreys Yacht Design, the famous Italian design studio Pininfarina, Gurit and Elan.
The E6’s design finds success in all respects, but some elements truly make this yacht stand out. The coachroof window lines celebrate the heritage of Elan’s E Line, while the portlight fold gives the E6 a sporty line and an instantly recognisable look. In the interior, the main stairs in the saloon forecast the hexagonal motif of the interiors and are a centrepiece connecting it all. Instead of wood, the stairs are made of GRP, which carries Elan Yachts to completely new dimensions of design, ergonomics, and durability.
Elan led the project and constructed the yacht, while setting a new standard in composite engineering with the help of world’s leading composite specialists, Gurit. The E6 is therefore one of the lightest fully fitted yachts for serious sailors who expect superior performance but intend to use it for leisure with family and friends as well.

The model on order will be available for Yacht Share starting later this summer and operated by their sister company, Sydney By Sail.
