Fastmount launches new Stainless Steel Clips

New Zealand-based Fastmount, designer and manufacturer of hidden panel mounting systems, has launched the all-new stainless steel clips (patent pending).

Made from 100% 304 and 301 stainless steel, the clips offer superior fire resistance and durability. As well as being suitable for fire exits and egress paths, the stainless steel clips can be used anywhere that is required to be fire rated, including both wall and ceiling panels.

Ideal for vessels in the Merchant shipping category such as mega yachts and cruise ships, the clips will make panel installation simple and efficient as well as meeting requirements for the containment of fire, by way of their stainless steel composition.

With the male clip (MC-SSM10) screw fixed to the panel and the female (MC-SSF10) affixed to the substrate, all that’s required to complete installation is pressing the panel on and allowing the clips to snap together. One of the more impressive features is the 5mm adjustability the clips allow for, so that minor tweaks may be made to ensure perfect alignment. The unique centrepoint tool also aids correct positioning with its unique three point design that marks out exactly where the drill holes need to be made for the male clip.

For applications where extra strength is paramount, a final screw can be drilled through the centre of the clips to remove any flexibility and ensure panels are kept securely in place.

The clips boast a 10kg pull out load and 60kg shear loading, with tests carried out by SGS Testing, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company.
