Ocean Alexander Yachts debuts 35 metre Puro model and expands Legend Series

The first half of the year has been a busy one for Ocean Alexander Yachts; Including the debut of its latest marvel, the 35M Puro (35P) at the recent Palm Beach International Boat Show, the Ocean Alexander 37L ‘Sweet Debbie’ was nominated in the Boat International Superyacht Awards and the 28L – the most recent model in build will expand the Legend Series with a launch set for Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2024.

Whilst the exclusive importer and distributor of Ocean Alexander Yachts in Australia and New Zealand – Alexander Marine, are getting ready to exhibit local models at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, there is plenty of global activity around Ocean Alexander Yachts, who are on track for another exciting year.

OCEAN ALEXANDER 35 PURO DEBUTS AT PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW

Ocean Alexander Yachts, synonymous with unparalleled luxury and groundbreaking innovation in yacht manufacturing, proudly presented the debut of its latest marvel, the 35M Puro (35P) at the prestigious Palm Beach International Boat Show earlier this year. This exceptional vessel redefines the essence of pure luxury yachting, designed for global appeal.

The Ocean Alexander 35P is a testament to Ocean Alexander’s enduring legacy and commitment to excellence, and stands as a beacon of innovative design and superior functionality. With a harmonious blend of luxurious features, this yacht does not simply follow trends but sets new benchmarks in yacht building.

The 35M Puro

“We are excited to unveil the 35P to the world at Palm Beach,” said Dan Mundy Head of Global Operations at Ocean Alexander at the time of her international debut, “The 35P embodies our dedication to pushing the boundaries of luxury and innovation, offering an unmatched yachting experience.”

The collaboration between renowned Italian designer, Giorgio M. Cassetta, and naval architect, Andrea Agrusta of NavalHEAD, has resulted in a yacht that balances pristine entertaining spaces, a chiselled body, and unparalleled seaworthiness.

Speaking about the partnership, Cassetta said that Ocean Alexander had “heritage” in its creation of “high, reliability, ocean-going vessels” that can capably cruise in inclement weather.

“I wanted that to come through any new design,” Cassetta explained during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2022. “I wanted to design a beautiful boat that speaks [Ocean Alexander’s] language, that caters to what they do best.”

With this in mind, the 35P is focused on stability and seaworthiness, with a “tall and powerful” look, according to Cassetta. This is achieved with the help of an uninterrupted 11-metre upper deck running from bow to stern, which shades the main deck cockpit completely and creates the illusion of a longer and “slicker” boat.

In terms of continued construction evolution, the 35P features an extensive use of carbon fibre within the structure.

The 35P features an impressive length of 34.6 M (113′ 6”) and a beam of 7.44 M (24′ 5”), ensuring ample space and stability on the water. It’s powered by Twin MAN® engines, each delivering 2000 HP, combined with a Twin Kohler® 55 KW generators. The yacht boasts a fuel capacity of 19,040 Litres enabling extended cruising range. The 35P is also equipped with Sidepower Vector Fin hydraulic stabiliser fins for greater stability when underway or at anchor.

Inside, the yacht offers luxurious accommodations for ten guests, state-of-the-art technology, and bespoke amenities, catering to the most discerning tastes and ensuring a seamless blend of comfort and elegance. There is a total of five cabins on board, comprising four lower deck guest cabins and the owner’s suite on the main deck. Crew quarters are forward on the lower deck – two bunk cabins plus the captain’s cabin.

The 35P is not just a yacht; it is the embodiment of pure yachting, transcending geographical markets to offer a universal appeal. Its design prioritizes the seamless integration of features, leading to unrivalled functionality and aesthetics. This yacht promises a balance of entertainment spaces, robust performance, and timeless elegance, making it a symbol of Ocean Alexander’s commitment to yacht building in its purest form.

ADVANCEMENTS AND ACCOLADES IN THE OCEAN ALEXANDER LEGEND SERIES

Earlier this year, the Ocean Alexander 37 M Legend Series ‘Sweet Debbie’ was nominated in one of the most prestigious awards in the industry – the 2024 BOAT International World Superyacht Awards.

With a length of 35.9 M (117′ 9”) and a beam of 7.47 M (24′ 6”), the spacious 37L features stunning design with an abundance of natural light through glass panels on all three levels that open interiors and beautifully reflect how owners and their guest use a yacht: for privacy, luxury and intimate entertaining.

37 M Legend Series

Meanwhile, set to launch at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the Ocean Alexander 28 M Legend is a pinnacle of luxury and performance in its class.

The Legend Series embodies all that Ocean Alexander stands for; safety, quality, performance and design. With the traditional deep-v shape to the bow profile creating a Carolina flare as it moves through the water, the Legend Series yachts are what Ocean Alexander owners have loved about the brand for 45 years. The collection is masterful engineering with timeless style that appeals to owners more inclined to traditional yachting styles.

Joining the 32L and 37L models in the series, the 28L will be the smallest model in the range, with the potential to be used by an owner/operator and with a focus on family liveability.

The spacious interior of the 28L is meticulously crafted with high-quality materials, offering a comfortable and inviting retreat on the water. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and premium amenities, the Ocean Alexander 28L promises an unparalleled cruising experience, combining style, comfort, and performance for discerning yacht enthusiasts.

Looking forward to the launch of the model later this year, Dealer Principal / Director Todd Holzapfel said: “After hosting the world debut of the 28 M Explorer model at the 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, Alexander Marine have found this size yacht ticks the boxes of many of our Australian customers. We are excited to present this model and the versatility of the yacht adapted in the more traditional Legend Series style to Australian yacht buyers, especially those with families who want the option of an owner/operated yacht”.
