Following a 17-year journey with Club Marine through a diverse range of strategic leadership roles, Tim Wiles has been announced as the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Tim has successfully served as interim CEO since November 2023. Prior to that, he was the company’s Chief Operating Officer and 2IC, ensuring a seamless transition to the helm following the departure of Karen Te Maipi.
With holistic experience in senior management across Underwriting, Member Services, Technical, Contact Centre Operations, Claims and Product, contributing to numerous projects across the enterprise, Tim is passionate about enhancing Club Marine’s service offerings, customer experience and operational excellence.

Before joining Club Marine in 2007 as a Junior Underwriter, Tim worked in the boating industry in Sydney and remains an avid boating enthusiast.
“It has been a privilege to work in the marine industry my whole career, enabling me to combine my love of the water and boating with my job,” Tim says. “Serving as acting CEO for the past six months has been a great experience and I’m looking forward to continue growing the company and building on our standing as Australia’s largest recreational boat insurance provider.
