Maritimo powers into the Gulf States with Dubai Power Boats
Maritimo has appointed Dubai Power Boats as its exclusive dealer in the Middle East, representing their luxury Australian motor yachts in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) regions, including United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Building on Maritimo’s reputation in offshore powerboat racing, having competed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to be crowned 2019 UIM XCAT World Champions, the proudly Australian-made marque is looking forward to the exposure and promotion a respected dealer in the region will provide, through a presence at yacht shows and via their extensive database of clientele.
Based in Dubai at the Al Habtoor Tower overlooking the Dubai Marina, the Dubai Power Boats team has been working in the region for more than a decade, bringing a unique depth of insight into the region and the various boating markets.
From their success selling high-performance tenders and centre console fishing craft, they have acquired a solid network of ultra-high-net-worth customers and earned their roles as trusted consultants to the avid angling and boating community in the GCC.
There is a real appetite for the boating lifestyle, and Maritimo will appeal to owners for many reasons.
“The market is motivated by quality, aesthetics – the profile and lines of the boat – and performance, a vessel’s speed and the on-water experience, which Maritimo is renowned for,” explained Dubai Power Boats’ Rob Westerhof.
“Being Australia-made is a great asset, as is the ability to select engine packages and customise interior colours and finishes, and the ample air-conditioning on board, which you can appreciate is imperative in the summer months.
“The region is undergoing massive development in marina construction,” he continued. “The coastline is dotted with large, sophisticated marinas. The next phase of The Palm Islands, Palm Jebel Ali, will feature villas with private pontoons, so the infrastructure is well and truly in place for boating. The waters in the Persian Gulf are teeming with fish and popular with divers and anglers.
“There is already great interest in Maritimos from 60-feet to the new M75 and S75 flagships,” he stated. “In just two weeks of promoting Maritimo on our website, we registered more than 10,000 impressions – which is a phenomenal response and shows the reputation Maritimo enjoys in the Middle East, as well as the enthusiasm of the market here.”
Maritimo owners in the region can be assured of excellent after-sales support and service, through Dubai Power Boats’ partnership with KJM Marine Group which for 25 years has provided the full spectrum of maintenance, repair and refit services.
Flying the flag for Maritimo, Dubai Power Boats will attend key yacht shows in the region, including the 2024 Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, 21 to 24 November and events in Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar.
In May, the team from Dubai Power Boats will travel with a group of select clients and industry contacts to attend the 2024 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 23 to 26 May, meet the Maritimo team, tour the factory and experience the current Maritimo models at the show.
“Dubai Power Boats has impeccable connections across the upper echelons of the region and these relationships are built on trust and a very high standard professionalism, which are aligned with Maritimo’s ethos,” said Derrick Nowak, Maritimo’s Global Business Development Manager.
“The rise of the day charters, offshore fishing grounds and investment across the region in new luxury resorts in locations like Saudi Arabia, position our Maritimo luxury motor yachts as the perfect choice to enjoy this lifestyle.
“The Gulf countries are implementing strategies to diversify their economies, as they move away from hydrocarbon industries, and move towards tourism and hospitality which is very exciting for luxury motor yachts,” said Nowak.
