Elan Flagship Queens Unite

Sydney-based Performance Cruising Yachts will have two yachts on display at the Sydney International Boat Show (SIBS) from 3 to 6 August, including one debutante.

In exciting news, the company is set to debut the stunning and multi-award-winning Elan E6 together with the equally impressive Elan GT6 at the show.

Elan E6

Making her debut at the Sydney Show, Elan’s E6 – the flagship of Elan’s performance-orientated E-Line, and was designed by a “dream team” of specialists: Humphreys Yacht Design, the famous Italian design studio Pininfarina, Gurit and Elan.

The E6’s design finds success in all respects, but some elements truly make this yacht iconic.

The coachroof window lines celebrate the heritage of Elan’s E Line, while the portlight fold gives the E6 a sporty line and an instantly recognisable look. In the interior, the main stairs in the saloon forecast the hexagonal motif of the interiors and are a centrepiece connecting it all. Instead of wood, the stairs are made of GRP, which carries Elan Yachts to completely new dimensions of design, ergonomics, and durability.

Elan led the project and constructed the yacht, while setting a new standard in composite engineering with the help of world’s leading composite specialists, Gurit. The E6 is therefore one of the lightest fully fitted yachts for serious sailors who expect superior performance but intend to use it for leisure with family and friends as well.

The Elan E6 has won a plethora of prestigious design awards and Yacht of the Year nominations. Such accolades speak volumes about the E6’s impact on the market. Come and see her for yourself.

Elan GT6

Also on display is the Elan GT6, beautifully crafted, emanating from the drawing boards of Porsche and Humphreys Yacht Design. The GT6 – winner of the Red Dot Design Award in 2021 – is a next-generation Grand Tourer that has the perfect balance of speed and power, comfort and luxury, good handling and precise control.

The high-performance hull and sail plan by Humphreys Yacht Design are optimised for short-handed, medium-range cruising.

Three generations of Humphreys/Elan design evolution and extensive CFD modelling have produced a refined yacht that handles like a thoroughbred and delivers exhilarating performance on all points of sail, across the full range of wind and sea conditions. Unique styling by Studio F. A. Porsche gives the GT6 a strikingly elegant silhouette with sharp, distinctive lines and elaborately curved surfaces that create beautiful flares of light as the yacht moves through the water.
