A very important activity is taking place on Wednesday 22 March 2023 in the Patterson Lakes (South East) area – Industry Immersion Day. Currently BIA Victoria members JV Marine, Impact Boats, Dunbier, Mercury, Patterson Lakes Marina, Composite Constructions, HEADStart, 38 South, Nautek, GoTAFE, Victorian Boat Sales, and Aus Institute of Engineering are participating.
This activity is one of BIA Victoria’s key initiatives to help tackle to industries current skills shortages, to better profile the industry, as well as to attract new people to it. The BIA say that this very important activity will only be possible if industry engages and get involved.
BIAV members can do so by either being open on the day, and welcoming small groups as they come through, or by setting up a small display at the hub (indoor hall) at the Patterson Lakes Community Centre. Call or email to get involved.
