Nautilus Marine Insurance Emergency Preparedness & Oil Spill Response
Both courses are delivered in two parts with a self-paced learning module followed by a scheduled virtual session with an experienced industry professional.
The Nautilus Marine Insurance Emergency Preparedness Course examines common emergencies marinas should be prepared for. It examines the essential requirements of an emergency response incident management plan, including risk assessments and response management. Participants review case studies and video material. The live session is on Tuesday 22 November (2pm) via Zoom.
The live session is facilitated by Jayson McDonald CMM, CEO Royal Motor Yacht Club Broken Bay. McDonald will share his vast experiences with the students; gained from his time running marinas and clubs, building them, working on superyachts and his very relevant experience with the NSW Water Police.
The Oil Spill Response Course will equip marina employees with the information and knowledge of how to recognise, report, respond to and clean up an oil spill incident at a marina. The live session is on Thursday 17 November (3pm) via Zoom.
The Part B live session is facilitated by Sydney Superyacht Marina Manager Clemens Overdijk CMM, a customer service marine professional, and d’Albora Marinas’ Group Risk Manager Martin Silk, a seasoned environmental compliance expert. Clemens also chairs the MIA Education Committee.
