Exciting times ahead for the Victor Harbor-Goolwa Sea Rescue Squadron with Government funding the provision of land in Victor Harbor to establish a new vessel storage facility. In addition to the land they will also receive the scheduled VMR Vessel and Tow Vehicle Replacement funding to replace the assets based in Goolwa.
A great outcome for the Squadron and their dedicated volunteers who do a great job in responding to marine emergencies on the south coast, lower Murray & Coorong.
It was David Basham MP and Vincent Tarzia MP who this week announced to the Victor Harbor-Goolwa Sea Rescue Squadron that land has been purchased for an additional storage facility.
The new facility will complement the Squadron’s new rescue vessel when it arrives later this year, allowing the Squadron to focus on keeping the community safe.
Vincent Tarzia said” this is a great outcome for the Squadron and their dedicated volunteers who do such a great job in responding to marine emergencies on the south coast, lower Murray and Coorong”.
