The year of 2021 will go down as truly momentous for leading Australian luxury motor yacht manufacturer, Maritimo, with a myriad of major milestones, countless number of achievements, and most importantly, many excited new owners welcomed into the world of Maritimo.
2021 is Maritimo’s most successful year in its near 20-year history.
At the beginning of the year Maritimo boldly announced its plans to unveil eight new models in the calendar year.
Maritimo’s completely in-house, Australian based design and new product development team is set to deliver on those plans with the global reveal of the brand’s new flagship M75 Flybridge Motor Yacht today marking the seventh reveal, with one more exciting model announcement still to be teased before year’s end.
Maritimo’s, Tom Barry-Cotter said that the eight new model announcements were a significant milestone for the brand, and that the level of new product development in 2021 had been unprecedented in the company’s near 20-year history.
“This level of new product development would not be possible without the input and efforts from our highly experienced, Australian based new product development and design team,” he said.
“These talented people are charged with creating our next innovations and developing our tooling of the future. “Within the team are some of the most highly skilled and experienced within the industry, not just within Australia, but from around the globe.”
A new era is set to begin today, as Maritimo unveils the largest motor yacht in its history, with the global reveal of the brand’s latest flagship vessel, in the form of the new M75 Flybridge Motor Yacht.
Of all the Maritimo flagships that precede it, none have had the level of customer input or degree of design development as the M75 Flybridge Motor Yacht, said Barry-Cotter.
The global reveal of the iconic new flagship marks the seventh launch or reveal for Maritimo in 2021, as the renowned long range motor yacht brand sees unprecedented demand, with several orders for the M75 already in its production pipeline.
The M75 Flybridge Motor Yacht is slated for its official global launch late 2022.
Preceding the M75 Flybridge Motor Yacht, other new models announced in 2021 include the M55 Flybridge Motor Yacht, M60 Flybridge Motor Yacht, S55 Sedan Motor Yacht, S60 Sedan Motor Yacht, M600 Offshore Motor Yacht and S600 Offshore Motor Yacht, with one more exciting announcement before the end of 2021.
“2022 will be as exciting as 2021, as Maritimo will see in the official global launches of each of these new models,” he said.
“The next generation of Maritimo’s latest new models have formed the foundation of Maritimo’s sales for the future, with the brand welcoming record sales of new motor yachts to owners from around the globe, with orders now out into the third quarter of 2024.”
Maritimo’s boat show calendar was still heavily impacted by the effects of the global pandemic and related travel restrictions in 2021, however the company record motor yacht orders at both Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May, and Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November.
“At these shows we have congratulated a number of owners on their 3rd, 4th, and even 5th Maritimo purchase, as well as welcoming many who are just beginning their Maritimo journey, as first time Maritimo owner’s,” said Barry-Cotter.
Owners such as Deb and Mick Sangster from QLD, Australia and Mickey Beanini from Rydalmere in NSW, Australia.
The Sangsters bought their first Maritimo in 2011 and fell in love the brand. “We keep buying Maritimo’s not just for the boats, but for the whole team that goes with it,” she said. “Their attention to detail and service is amazing.”
Mickey Beaini ordered his first Maritimo six months ago. “I was drawn by the quality, the design, attention to detail and the dual use for us, luxury cruising and game fishing,” he said.
As Maritimo steams into the future with record orders and unprecedented range of new models entering production it has been carefully growing its team of highly skilled craftspeople and full-time apprentices over the course of the year and will grow its team further over the course of 2022 and 2023.
